Ferndale Lodge

The room was clean and walking distance to Ambleside. The owner was friendly and recommended places to eat and walk. Ideal for us as we had a dog The weather was fanatic ☀️

Friendly reception, clean comfortable room

Property was fine just a little noisy on the front of the road but that’s not really down to the property , more how close to town it is

Lovely, well presented and clean accommodation in a central location. We spent a wonderful few days here, and will definitely book again. Rob is a great host, and the guesthouse is quiet and peaceful.

Dangerous light fittings in bedroom above bed. They were loose and got extremely hot within minutes

Great location friendly staff and free parking very close to center of town

There are no lifts and it was a struggle to drag cases up 3 flights of stairs. Pity it didn't do breakfast

Located very near to restaurants and town. Lovely comfortable room, great shower and lovely towels. Rob helped with restaurant recommendations and very handy parking pass, lots of info to hand as well. No breakfast but not even 1 minute walk to superb Cafe Altitude (upstairs at climbing wall)

Nothing all good. Although shower shelf, handtowel rail/ring next to sink, handrail in shower or option of slip mat would greatly enhance stay imo.

I had a really good two night stay here. Rob was very welcoming. Really great place in a great location.
