Incredible stay!!! Everything about Old House far exceeded our expectations - from Fernando and Eloiza's incredible generosity, to the beautifully remodeled historic home, to the delicious breakfast, to the incredible town of Monsanto itself - we could not have asked for a better stay!

The location and view are exceptional. Fascinating village to walk around. The hosts were great with communication and picked up our bags straight away (the streets are too narrow to drive to the accommodation… you park at the start of the village). They also booked dinner for us at a restaurant (which also had a similar stunning view!) Old house was extremely well equipped and was spacious. Great stay. Recommended

What an amazing place - so much character. We had such a wonderful stay. The property was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. Hosts were wonderful - really friendly and helpful. Met us at village parking and bags were taken to house in a wee electric car. Breakfast on the terrace was amazing. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Absolutely nothing. The perfect stay :-) Just a heads up on Monsanto. Quite a few restuarants only take cash and the cash machine was out of order so good to have some with you as back up.

"Beautifully Restored Home"

The owner is passionate about Monsanto and its history which we appreciated as we were on. Portuguese Templar journey. The house is pristinely restored and a perfect place to explore Monsanto day and night on foot.

"Amazing stay in a very authentic Portuguese town of 800."

This is a repurposed space that was done with appreciation. Everything was top notch and the views from the front door were stunning.

I loved everything about this space, the owner and the town. You do have to plan before going to Monsanto and Elena the owner is very clear about leaving your car outside of this medieval town and letting her pick you and your bags up in s tiny electric car. Food should also be planned as there are only two restaurants in town.

Fantastic location, it’s like you one of the Templar Knights looking out onto far off hills. The House is well appointed with really nice and tasteful touches everywhere. Close to all there is to explore in Monsanto
