Old House

The property was absolutely amazing from the historic artifacts displayed throughout, the encased boulder in the main bedroom, the comfortable beds and awesome breakfast hosted by Eloiza. The location was perfect and we loved our stay.

I loved everything about the property and and the wonderful hosts Eloiza and Fernando.

Eloísa was a fabulous host! Very warm and welcoming and available to help with anything. Breakfast was wonderful. The view is amazing and the house is so unique and charming.

great town, great house and great hosts

It was an amazing stay. I would love to go back and stay longer. Monsanto is a magical place and our host, even though we did not speak Portuguese, was helpful and did everything to make our stay comfortable.

Only stayed one night and everything was great.

I would highly recommend this place. It is up on the mountain with a great view. It was just the two of us, but the place could easily hold 4 or 5 people. The owner was fantastic, even though we got our meeting times mixed up, she went out of her way to help and get us settled. She showed us the town, booked a reservation at the local restaurant, and breakfast was brought to us right on time and it was lovely.

Everything about Old House was simply amazing. From being picked up at the best parking space in town, chatting with our hosts as the sun set, breakfast set on our kitchen table, and being driven back to our car upon our departure. The only thing that would have made our stay better is if we had planned on starying longer!!!

Property was very clean & spacious. Had a wonderful view as well

My suggestion would be to have some fans or air conditioning during the warm weather in the family room. The bedroom had a wonderful air conditioning unit.
