Swiss Cottage Guest House

Its a nice apartment close to the beach and restaurants with spacious rooms to accommodate a family. In the Norwegian cottage i actually enjoyed a fully furnished home away from home with an art collection and a mini library with popular books.

The special upgraded room was up a horrible winding staircase difficult to use, and no thought for the client. Not designed for business travel no desk no chairs. Never saw the manager/owner/supervisor The Caretaker was helpful the second night,

The Manager had maintained great communication prior to our arrival, and had very kindly upgraded our booking so that our rooms were virtually side by side - mine with a mountain view and my friends with a really sunny aspect. We had a washing machine in one of the apartments and the whole set up suited our needs perfectly. The Mountain View room was huge with an enormous bed, clean bed linen and a lovely seating area. There was a good selection of wines in both our apartments which we were able to pay for on an honesty policy which was great as it was very hard to buy any wine in Camps Bay itself. The security was perfect with lots of locks and locked gates too. Sadly we both picked up a stomach bug from somewhere at the end of out stay and were so grateful for the peace and quite of being able to stay in our rooms close to the bathroom!

If we were to be really picky, both rooms were slightly dusty and the fingerprint smiley face which had been drawn on the outside of one of my windows was still there when we left! However, the area is really windy and it is probably difficult to keep the windows clean. We only really noticed the dust on the glass table top above the fridge and old carpet because we were so ill we both spent most of the last two days in our rooms!! These were absolutley minor points.

Staff went above and beyond to accommodate arrival and departure times. The extra service was much appreciated and made all the difference in our enjoyment of our time at Camps Bay! Great location and walkable to all the local restaurants, beaches, and nightlife. If I travel back to Camps Bay I’ll definitely try to stay here again!

The location was perfect for us. Quiet at night and within 5 minutes walking distance to the center of Camps Bay. Our room was charming and had everything we needed. Chris is superfriendly and professional.

Perfect location, 3 minuter to shops,beach & restaurants Stayed 3 weeks in a cottage with lovely veranda. Great host Chris, and Darwin who is at the property from Monday to Friday is an incredible hard working chap. Peaceful location.
