Mahagedara Dickwella

Our stay at mahagedara was absolutely wonderful! The property is beautifully surrounded by nature, offering complete peace and relaxation. The villa was spotless and very well maintained, making it feel like home from the moment we arrived. It’s also excellent value for money compared to other places we’ve stayed. The host “Minu” was extremely friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help with anything we needed. Breakfast was simply amazing – fresh, delicious, and the perfect start to a day. And the beach is just 5 minutes from here. Highly recommend this place.

It is in central location but tucked away from the main road, we slept really well. The breakfast is superb, probably the best we had during our trip in Sri Lanka! Room is super clean and bed is comfortable, we also loved the garden! The owner is really kind and hospitable.

Maybe a small cabinet in the room for storage would be nice.

Nice location and staf is super helpful. Location nearby beach. After an item was lost during laundry the owner made sure it was send to our next homestay. No hot water and bit difficult to find as its tucked away on a road with no sign.

The staff were incredible and went above and beyond to support us after a medical issue arose. They were so attentive and considerate and really looked after us. The accommodation is lovely and peaceful, and the gardens are very beautiful - we especially loved having breakfast with the monkeys! Thank you for a very memorable stay.

The room en bathroom are perfectly clean. The host and staff are really nice, work hard and do there best to let you have a good time. Soothing and quit house, in a busy street, but you dont notice that. Very peaceful.

On arrival little bit hard to find, but the owner inmediately came to guide us to the wright direction!

Water pressure in the sink.

This place was completely spotless, which was even better as I had to leave my previous accomodation early due to uncleanliness. This is a family run business and the owners are super nice and really helpful. The breakfast was great, with a view of monkeys climbing the trees while you eat! The bed was comfy and the bathroom was clean. This place is great value for money, would recommend.

Having a sign outside the property along the road would be super helpful. It's quite hard to find, especially at night. The location is a little bit removed from the activity area but that suits some people!

Breakfast is fit for kings. Laundry and pressing services. Cleanliness unmatched and surpasses leading hotels. There's a beautiful patio, garden, lounge with TV and we loved using all these spaces for work, exercise and chilling in the day time. Bathrooms are massive and well equipped. The host and staff is amazing and provide you all sorts of support as a tourist and always available smiling. There's a kitchen where you can prepare your own meals, coffee and a fridge.

No sound proofing and lots of monkeys wake you up early morning by jumping on the roof. No netting on windows and doors we were bit by mosquitoes. Need cupboards and storage in rooms.

Enclosed gem within the city. Minu was an amazing host. The whole place is really chill and clean The rooms are well equipped with AC, hairdryer, comfy bed, amazing welcome, extraordinary breakfast.
