"Comfy homestay in a lovely jungle garden"

Very nice stay in this little oasis from the busy Dickwella high street. It is close to Dickwella beach (not Hiri where the surfers are). The host Minu is very hospitable. Rooms are spacious and AC, bed very comfortable. The garden and terrace is lush, with monkets and birds you can enjoy from your morning breakfast.

I would have preferred morning light in the bedroom. Also the location wasn't close enough to Hiri surf beach for me, but that that's just personal preference.

nice room, very clean accommodation in general, water pressure is good, no humidity or smell in the room, Minu was very kind and helped us when needed

Rather expensive, the breakfast is way too small, location is okey (10 minutes from the nice beach and 25 minutes from Hiriketiya) but hard to find at first

The property is amazing. Massive garden areas front and back. Plenty of space if you want to chill outside. Shared areas and the rooms are super clean and tidy. Best place for the buck. Host is super friendly, helpful, reliable and trustworthy. Highly recommended 100%. Definitely coming back when we are visiting Hiriketiya again!

We really liked our stay in Mahagedara Dickwella, the place is amazing. The atmosphere is chill and the rooms and bathroom are very clean, new and modern. The breakfast is amazing, we still miss the delicious fresh bread and morning smoothie. The owner is extremly nice and helpful. Definitely one of our favorite places, we stayed in during our one month in Sri Lanka.

More storage for the clothes in the room would be nice , especially for the people who are staying longer.

Manu is a great host! The rooms are simple but clean and confortable. Breakfast were very good.

The house was difficult to find when we arrived. They are no sign so you have to figure out with google. Also, it’s not in a tourist area… it’s on a very busy street but since the house is a little far from the street, it’s very calm and you feel safe!
