Luvi Lucas River Side

Had an amazing stay at Luvi Lucas Hotel! The host, Ravindu, is incredibly kind and helpful — he guided us with everything from bus routes to local travel tips. He also arranged scooty rentals, surfing, and snorkeling at great prices. His family is warm and welcoming, and they serve absolutely delicious home-cooked food. The location is perfect — just a short walk from the beach and close to the city center. Overall, it’s excellent value for money and I’d highly recommend staying here!

This was definitely the highlight of our trip in Sri Lanka. Ravindu and his family (and two amazing dogs!) were so welcoming, helpful, and so nice about everything. Breakfast everyday was great! Fresh fruits, eggs, and toast. So yum! If we needed extra toilet paper, towels, anything, we just chatted with them and they helped us out by giving it to us. We were having daily protein shakes and the only minor inconvenience for us was that we had no fridge... Ravi and his family let us put anything in their fridge and walfway through our stay, they brought us a mini fridge up in our room. AC was good as well, which was much welcomed when it was super hot and humid. And the two dogs were just the cherry on top. Especially Cal, who was so cuddly and always wanted to play and come for pets. Definitely the best service we've received while travelling in our 3-month backpacking trip all around the world. It made our stay in Sri Lanka even better.

Nothing - It was amazing! Just make sure you keep your bathroom door closed as from the window, it will get hot air from there and not cool down your room properly :) but that is very minor.

The best place in Weligama.

This really ticked all the boxes, a beautiful location along the river providing some peace and quiet which is rare for Weligama. The family who run it are so kind and helpful. Really recommend.

Riverside location a close walk to the beach and town Friendly family run place. Use of their kitchen fridge was handy. Excellent breakfasts served in "the boat," a floating pontoon on the river. Comfortable good-sized room and bathroom and balcony with river view. The pedestal fan as well as air-conditioning was usedul. Plenty of drying space with 2 racks provided. Nice ambience including sounds from the nearby Buddhist temple.

A small fridge and tea coffee facilities would improve the set-up, although they happily let us use their fridge and brought trays of tea up for us.

Peaceful location by the river. Views from the balcony. Access to their kitchen. Walking distance to beach and shops. Spacious clean and modern room

Great location, close to the city center. Owner is extremely helpful and helped us with information, organising tours, cars etc. Home was as expected and matches the photos. Would definitely recommend
