Black Mountain Lodge

Location was ideal. The room was lovely felt homely. Breakfast was beautiful.

Breakfast was lovely and they were very accommodating for our toddler

Loved the cosiness of the place. Very homely vibe!! The smell is amazing as soon as you enter

Not much to say as it was just how we wanted it!

It was a perfectly serviceable room, with decent WiFi, decent toilet facilities, and clean throughout.

The room itself was a little basic with a small TV, no hairdryer provided, but thats being picky

Good breakfast good location

The room was amazing. Sofa bed was ready when. we arrived for our son. Bathroom was renovated to a high standard - really liked the double sinks and gold taps etc. The breakfast was fantastic and staff were really helpful with allergies etc.

The lock on our door was a bit dodgy

The property was nice and clean but the bar and restaurant were shut in the evening which meant that we had to go to the village to eat and drink.

We inadvertently left a box containing several bottles of spirits as presents for our friends and family worth over £100 in the car park as we were setting off home. I noticed that the box was missing when we got home . I immediately rang the hotel but no one picked it up. I rang several times but still no answer. I asked Booking.Com to assist in contacting the hotel / they rang and wrote to them but still no answer. I tried on many occasions but no answer. I wrote to them and still no answer. I am afraid, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone due to their poor communication and as a result I have lost over £100 in drinks. Thanks for nothing - you are the worse communicators I have come across - Rubbush!!
