Black Mountain Lodge

My stay was made enjoyable because of the special extra things thst contributed to the feel-good and homely nature of my room. Great breakfast menu options and free car psrking, also.

My memory foam bed lacked edge support. I overcame the 'roll-out-of-bed' feeiing by sleeping in the middle of the queen size bed.

Excellent location, friendly welcome. We were able to access our room and use it to change pre- wedding which was very helpful. Very nice breakfast. Nice area with sofas to sit and have a chat with family members.

The place looks a little run down outside, and the reception area could be a little warmer/more welcoming, but overall there was nothing really to dislike.

The location was perfect. And the room was more than I could ask for. The staff was lovely and breakfast was delicious and you can add extras if you want.

On arrival there was a used towel on the floor of the bathroom that might have been missed from the cleaning but not a major issue. And the shower soaps were nearly finished It was a bit unfortunate as they smelt lovely but I had my own so it was fine. The bathroom lock was really difficult for a young man like myself to lock. And finally they could use a better sign postage at the entrance of the road as it was hard to see initially in the dark but they have very nice lights when you get close enough.

Location remote especially as no onsite staff or telephone number to contact anyone in an emergency such as fire Our bath was chipped resulting in sharp dangerous edges. No heating available and the temperature had dropped

It was brilliant could not fault it at all really clean and friendly people were definitely stop you again
