Despite super last minute booking, everything worked well. Host was very friendly, bed was comfy, room nice and silent. Very good vibes in this place :)

"Carlisle with a smile."

Service from the welcome was excellent, breakfast was fresh and plentiful with various choices. I had no requirement to use the WiFi so cannot comment on it.

The bed was slightly hard for me on a personal note but not enough to stop me going back, it's a me thing.

A friendly, comfortable base for the last two days of our Hadrian's Wall walk. A unique mixture of Guest House and local pub, with an excellent breakfast, including perfectly cooked eggs.

"A lovely spot for a stop-over"

The Vallum House Hotel was easy to get to, plenty of parking, lovely staff, comfortable bed, good breakfast. A very convenient stop over.
