Nice location

We were staying in Keswick with my parents. My dad suddenly had a major heart attack and was rushed to Carlisle hospital. I booked this for my mum and I in a hurry because it is only 1 mile from the hospital and a short walk for my mum who cannot drive. I have to say, this place was beyond exceptional for our needs. Elaine, her husband and Marie where all fabulous. We had a beautiful breakfast and a delicious cooked evening meal each night. Also a bar area and a quiz on Tuesday! The room was impeccably clean and comfortable and I cannot fault the facilities. Also has a private car park and a lovely garden with a pond and seating for guests to enjoy. I really would recommend this place to anybody. Wouldn't hesitate to return, hopefully under more positive circumstances. Thanks so much to all of you for looking after my Mum at a difficult time. Friendly welcome by staff and very efficient check in.

Location is top notch for travellers on the Hadrians wall walk. Quaint building and nice small pub. Elaine ( owner / staff ) was so lovely. We had some good laughs at the pub.

Room a tad small but as a solo traveller I was fine.

The hotel was exactly on our cycling route so was perfect for our arrival and departure. The room was spacious clean and comfortable and was at the back of the hotel so was quiet and peaceful, we had a great night sleep. Breakfast was perfectly satisfactory and cooked to my liking, great scrambled eggs. They had a garden at the back for sitting and enjoying the sunshine.

Shower cubicle was very small. No dinner available on Sunday night was an inconvenience but we knew this in advance so made other arrangements.
