Vallum House

The location was nice near the city centre. Elaine, was a dream. She went out of her way to be sure her guests were satisfied. There is a sweetness to the place and my room was amply appointed with what I needed.

While it’s a sweet place, it looks tired. It needs a refresh or a full on redo. The elements in the spaces are nice but the walls, carpets, paint, fixtures, etc, could use new life brought into them. The man at the counter was less then friendly. He was curt and didn’t offer much assistance when asked. It is as if he’s never don’t any customer service work. Not the best experiences with him. The food seemed like it was frozen and nothing was special about it apart from the lovely plate presentation.

The food was plentiful and tasty. The room I stayed in was clean and comfy. I slept very well.

Just nit picking. T.V reception was dodgy, The handle to open the window was broken. Just the general decor is a bit sad.

Close to the centre and hospital. Staff Elaine was very lovely, welcoming and helpful.

Ease, comfort, staff

Very welcoming hosts, arrived by bicycle and was happily shown to an indoor room where my bike could be safely left overnight. For all the room was small, it was idea for my purpose and very clean.

Some of the decor is tired and of a previous era but very clean and reassuring.
