Guest house Posada Ixchel

It was inexpensive but included hot water, mosquito nets and a pleasant porch with lots of green vegetation. Very clean. Near to Tikal and other Mayan sites. Quiet in the evenings. 5 minute walk to swimming pier on Lake Peten Itza. The dueña helped me with transportation bookings.

The wifi was weak away from the office. The electricity in 2 rooms failed midday but the dueña got someone to fix it after a couple hours. Minor inconvenience only.

The owner is very nice and just a great human. She gave me some helpful information about my trip. Thanks again and good luck with your extension!

Clean room with private toilet and towels provided. The location is great if you want to visit Tikal since it is closer than Flores. The host is lovely, she arranged the transportation to Tikal for us. She also offers laundry service. The veranda with plants is peaceful. There is a common kitchen to use and she provided us with coffee. There is coffee machine and stove.

All perfect, bring moskito spray since in the woods there are always more moskito than in the city which is normal

Very friendly family. They helped me with laundry service, transport information and a personal drop off to the bus stop. Clean rooms with muskito nets.

The rooms are a bit older and for television watchers, there is none. A light switch near the bed would be handy when being under your net. But those are small issues.
