Bala House

I had a wonderful stay at Bala house. The room suited me perfectly, it was cozy, comfortable and clean. The location was excellent- only about 20 minutes walk into town and in a nice neighbourhood. Nadia and her son were fantastic hosts, they were so friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcome. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend to anyone coming to Edinburgh for a weekend.

Extension building not part of the main building. Not really a problem Booking.com taking a big slice of their corporate pie

Mrs Nadia was the perfect hostess. The room was clean, tidy and warm, there was always hot water in the bathroom and toiletries were provided. The area was really safe and the bus stop to and from the city centre was nearby.

The owner was really friendly and accommodating. She made me feel very welcome and helped with any request I had. The room was beautiful, spacious and the en suite was modern and a good size. Everything was clean and serviced. I hope to return again as the location for the town was perfect!

The property is owned by a lovely family who are really kind and friendly. There is a bus stop just across the road with buses constantly going to the city centre, but it’s also not a long walk

It isn’t the most soundproof, but compared to other places in Edinburgh, the price is worth it

Bathroom is quite modern and clean. Comfortable bed.

Super clean. Friendly and helpful host. Easily accessible by bus. Limited car parking. Comfortable walk to city centre or other shops. Beautiful bathroom. Locks on doors. USB chargers on both sides of the bed. Bed was comfortable.
