Villa Maria-Syros

Very nice place with amazing view and great staff.

Kosta was very helpful and met us in the town square to guide us up to the villa. The villa is well located in the center of the town but very quiet. It is simple but has all the basics you need. Kosta also gave us plenty of tips and addresses which allowed us to make the most out of our time.

The only major drawback is the very early check out time, which is 10.00 AM. Being very very frequent travelers and airbnb hosts with multiple properties ourselves, this is the earliest we ever encountered and it kind of made our last morning in Syros a bit complicated. Pity as everything else was great. It is also important to mention that if you are old , in bad physical shape or handicapped, the large numbers of stairs to get to the villa and the fact that there is no access possible by any vehicule, makes it an absolute no go. For everyone else, the stairs will keep you in shape :)

From us arriving Kostas was the perfect host. Very welcoming & told us everything about the island for us to explore - just fab.

We absolutely loved our stay at Villa Maria. The room was breathtaking with a view of the harbor and town, we were close to tons of options for food and drinks, and host Kostas was fantastic. He met us on arrival to share his favorite things to do and places to go to, and he had so much passion for his small hotel that he has lovingly restored. The building is beautiful and interesting if you appreciate history and culture. We can't wait to return!

A very nice spot! Beautiful house and the hosts are great! A good climb up the hill. After a couple of days you feel stronger:).

Premises, location and host were delightful. Kostas was very helpful with tips for our short stay. The villa is nicely situated to access the old and new town, and the beach. The climb up the stairs to the old town is very invigorating and good for the legs!

There's some variation between the rooms, and the room prices vary accordingly, with the more ornate rooms costing more. So make sure to know which room you're booking so you're expectations are clear.

Villa Maria is a beautiful old house which has been tastefully and gracefully renovated. The shared kitchen is enormous and extremely well equipped. Our room was spotless and the living and bathroom areas very comfortable. Kostas, our host, gave us a very warm welcome and directed us to the best sights and restaurants. We can highly recommend this accommodation.

Guests need to be aware that the walk from the centre to Villa Maria includes quite a strenuous climb up a long flight of stairs.
