The accommodation is truly amazing, especially for those with an interest in unique architecture. The 12th-century house has been spectacularly renovated and transformed into an exceptional little hotel without intruding on the cityscape in any way, as is the case with many other accommodations. Apart from that, it is very comfortable, clean, and the breakfast features the finest local homemade products! We were absolutely thrilled!

Amazing experience on the best spot of the island. The architecture and the decoration are unique making you feel magnificent vibes. The hospitality was beyond the highest expectations. The breakfast was the best someone can dream. Served in the yard in front of an astonishing view. So lucky having been there!

By the end of October, the season is already over in Syros, so many stores and restaurants are closed. Just be prepared to enjoy the island in a different way: enjoy its extreme beauty in a peaceful atmosphere!

Slightly quirky. Great views. Lovely sunrise from our window. Fabulous breakfast on our balcony. Lovely staff who gave us a really good information about the island and advice. Lovely.

It was very windy when we were there and there was quite a lot of noise from shutters hanging etc. Steps to room are a little precarious!!

From the moment we arrived, Alexis, Tonia and Dimitri took such great care of us. From booking us somewhere to eat in the local town after our long journey, to carrying our heavy suitcases up a LOT of steps, to giving us all the tips and tricks of where to go on the island, the staff at Wind Tales were what made this place so special. It’s such a beautiful location with only 4 rooms in the heart of Ano Syros, and the breakfast served on the terrace each day was absolutely 5* - all local, fresh ingredients. Rooms are really beautifully done with super unique bathrooms! Thank you so much Wind Tales team, you made our time in Syros very special!

Amazing location and view in Ano Syros and unlike no where we have ever stayed before. Such an old property with history. Alix was an amazing host and told us all the best places to eat - sadly as end of the season most of the bars and restaurants had closed for the season but there was still somewhere for us to try on all three nights and each were unique and we loved them. Breakfast with a view every morning was amazing and huge thanks to Dimitri for carrying our bags and being so lovely. 😊

Not a problem for us but would not suit those who cannot get up and down a lot of steps.

If I could give Wind Tales 15 stars, I would. This is a really special place and I feel very lucky to have stayed here. The architecture is stunning - hotel and surroundings. I am travelling solo and actually spent 4 nights in total (extended my stay) - although the Greek islands are heading into the off season (October), there was still enough open in Ano Syros and Alexis gave me a full description of the best places to visit. The main town is a 20min walk or 5min by vehicle. Alexis and Tonia will arrange a taxi for you if you need or a trip (I went diving) - they will literally look after your every need to ensure you have the best stay, as I did. The breakfast is unreal and locally sourced produce. The view from the hotel is out of this world in my opinion and why it’s worth staying in Ano Syros as you won’t see sunrises like this from the main town. It’s a fair climb back from the main town, but I personally loved this for exercise after all the food!!! Thank you so much Alexis, Tonia, Dimitri and Christina for the most beautiful stay, one I will remember always and I will be recommending Wind Tales to everyone <3
