"Didn’t receive an invoice which is essential when travelling for work."

Upon arrival I waited for a hour to get the key. I stayed there for work but I’m yet to receive an invoice although I asked several times for an invoice.

"Don’t do it"

It all looked good online, and because we needed a place to stay overnight, we paid and headed straight to the property. And that’s all I recall liking because it went downhill from there.

We arrived and there was nobody to receive us or help us check in. No self check in process was communicated. After a 35+ minute wait and 2 calls with the owner, the caretaker arrived. He hurried in and a few minutes later we were called in to be informed that there was no electricity in our room and that the matter wasn’t sudden and that they needed to call in someone to fix it. This meant we couldn’t stay at the property. We did inform the owner of this and we were eligible for a refund, which they acknowledged. It’s a week later and the owner has not responded to any messages or emails sent to them relating to the refund. They are flippant. Do not waste your time with this property.

"Enjoyable holiday despite a disappointing overall stay"

The location of the house is great, and we really enjoyed Marloth Park overall. We enjoyed the outside amenities of the house such as the braai area, patio and the pool.

1. On the day of arrival there was a power outage for more than 5 hours, this caused quite a bit of inconvenience. For the remainder of the stay there was also no wifi and the TV was not operational. 2. General lack of cleanliness- there were dirty sheets on the bed, all the plates, glasses and crockery were covered in dust and had not been washed. The windows were dirty. There were several leaks around and inside the house. The bath in the main bedroom had a huge crack that was “repaired” with taped, and the shower was not working. 3. The house didn’t seem so ready for guests, we understand that insects are inevitable considering the location, however we had issues throughout the stay with a large number of bugs and lizards. 4. General safety - the sliding door latch was broken / tampered with and it was a struggle to close and latch this which raised major safety concerns during the stay. Over the service was not good and we didn’t appreciate the overall presentation of the house. We hope this feedback allows you to improve and prepare better for guests because you do have a wonderful house.

No reception, no room service or staff to be seen; wifi was off after phoning the owner, the duspins where so full and stinking outside at braai area and inside, house had no soap for dishes, no toilet paper, was a ghost town, no room service at all the house was not cleaned once during the day!! The owner simply does not care about complaints, ive paid money to get a break and ive been so so dissapointed in this place, unacceptable!! Taking peoples money and not providing what we pay for..:

"Dissatisfied and disappointed guests"

Absolutely nothing.

1. Apartment infested with cockroaches 2. Dustbins filled with maggots 3. Filthy swimming pool 4. Electricity cut off on the property for 2 days 5. 3 different males posing as caretakers 6. no wifi network connectivity or television connectivity 7. Missing listed kitchen utilities 8. No extra bedroom towels and zero housekeeping for 4 days. 9. Bedroom ceiling is infested with rats absolute no peace while sleeping or relaxing 10. And no communication or response from host when reporting issues regarding the property from arrival till checkout date.

"So much potential but lack of interest from owners"

Pool, a/c & braai area

Check in was a disaster and owners were completely unaware, difficult to contact. Units are in desperate need of repair with taps, lights, a/c control and fans damaged or inoperable. Surrounding bushveld strewn with litter, building rubble and ash.
