We had an incredible stay at the Purple House. Johann was the perfect host, making us feel very welcome after a long day’s drive. He has created a guesthouse filled with interesting pieces of artwork. The evening dinner he specially prepared for us was so delicious! We also enjoyed hearing about the history of this interesting town. We will happily recommend the Purple House for anyone needing an overnight or weekend stay in a beautiful part of our country.

The personal welcome at my suite, owner followed prior to arrival to ensure the suite I booked will meet me expectations, and during my stay checked in that I am comfortable.

The idea that we were sleeping in a converted water tank was amazing.

Johann was charming and made us the most delightful dinner and breakfast. Superb meals. The Purple House is charming with really creative furnishings and fittings.

Quirky accommodation and very hospitalible host Johann. Loved our large room with Oregon pine floors, high ceilings, fun shower 🚿. Johann prepared us a fresh tasty meal (Pork espatada) with great red wine. Safe offroad parking for our bikes. A worthy stop on the way down to the coast on the N6.

Not a negative... but one has to be comfortable with the "small town" quirkiness of the decor and layout of the property.
