Was close to family event wecwere going to.

The room was very basic for the price . Its mostly an eating pub. Obviously overnight accommodation is not high on the agenda.The duvet was of poor quality very thin, pillows were more or less useless only one each side and very thin. Had to fold my coat up to give a bit of comfort to put under my pillow, had asked earlier for extra pillows but none appeared by time we got back no one to ask as place shut. No glasses for water in room. Bathroom needs attention not brill. After our family event we returned to find the pub shut at 9.45pm on a Saturday night. After I'd been the driver for the evening was looking forward to a relaxing drink when we returned to find it closed. If you have paying guests in room I would have thought they would have at least stayed open till 10.30 or said they would be closed! Asked about breakfast to be told that the site should not have advertised breakfast. But if we wait till 9.30am the chef would come in. We did say dont bother by then we want to be on way home.Will not be returning.

I was staying, at relatively short notice, for work purposes and was not around much other than to sleep. But the staff were pleasant and the bed was comfortable, and i was able to come and go when i needed to, as i was working at all times of day and night this was essential as i didnt get back till 4/5am some nights.I didnt try the food but wanted to as it looked good, i just didnt get round to it, i barely had time for a pint, but did get a pint of Guinness a couple of times.

Bed was OK.

This place is not in any fit state while it is being refurbished. The pub is closed so there is no one there to help otherwise I would have left and gone elsewhere. The shower is broken and stuck on hot. VERY HOT. The alarm kept beeping all night so it was impossible to sleep. An awful stay and I feel like I shouldn't have paid for it. Very disappointing. Not a single person there to complain to to get things fixed. Nobody. I have emailed them but no response. It reflects their attitude to guests. It may be much better when finished but at the moment it is a shambles.

very noisy. Rooms above the kitchen of Pub, and you had to use the staff entrance from the car park past the fag bin dirty staff cups etc

no one around in the morning whole place was locked up. no staff were in evidence if you required help or assistance like the May Celesta!
