Left too early to have breakfast.

Something beebing constantly through the night. Not unlike a smoke detector requiring a new battery. Wasn't a real issue for me, but you were aware of it. Other than it was what I would expect at the price range.

Staff on the Friday night were very attentive, friendly and efficient. The meal I had was excellent. The room met expectations.

Persistent electronic beep that continued throughout the night (not in room). On Saturday night a member of staff (not on duty on Friday) asked me to move from the table I was sitting at because he needed it for a large group. He neither apologised or offered me an alternative. I went outside to finish my beer and didn't bother to dine. A shame considering my Friday night positive experience.

The food was really good the rooms are getting a bit tired but clean.

The location was very good. The staff were lovely. The room was good. We will use it again and recommend it to family and friends. Everyone we spoke to said that the food is good. They were right.

The hot water was very hot and it was difficult to cool it down.

Friendly staff in the restaurant area. Food in the restaurant was good.

The room was outdated and dirty. Bedding did not even fit the bed. When showering, the water seeped through the gaps in the shower cubicle tiles, flooding the bathroom floor. Access to the room was via external, dirty, concrete steps, which staff seem to use as a smoking area. On the days we stayed, the pub/restaurant closed at 8.30pm/9pm, and after that, all heating went off in the pub and in our room. All the lights went out in the pub and the car park, leaving the whole place in complete darkness. We were able to lock the door to our room, but the external door to the concrete steps did not lock. There didn't seem to be any other guests or staff on the premises. It was a very rural area, with only a couple of houses nearby, so it was quite creepy going back to our cold room. Needless to say, we won't be staying again.
