Shower room full of black mould . Cobwebs Al over the room .it looked as though it hadn't been cleaned in ages

I didn’t stay in this property.because the host called me and said the roof leaking so it is not suitable to stay. He said booking.com will give my money back but I never received any money.when I call the host he is blocking my number. I am sure booking. Com and the host in Dovenby ship are cheating their customers.

I haven’t stayed but I lost my £300 . Will never recommend booking.com to anyone in the future

breakfast was not available..

Nobody at reception for arrival or departure, i was told just to leave the key in bedroom door when i left. No hot water all, no plug for hand basin, could not have a decent shower or wash. Mirror in bathroom to high, I had to stand on tip-toe to have a shave, No chair or table in the room. An iron was provided but no firm base was available to use it.

Food in the pub downstairs was amazing. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Room had everything in we needed.

The bed mattress was a little old and springy but still slept fine. 😊

Canceled my reservation the day of and refused to help me find another accommodation.

This is a food destination which was mediocre at best and very expensive, there is no lounge area to sit or stools in the bar. I ordered a pint of bitter which was cloudy and told to let it settle, it didn't. The room, which was accessed via some outdoor stairs next to the dustbin area was small with an ensuite bathroom, no soap or shower gel, towels were musty. The bed was awful, the mattress could not have cost more than £10, extremely uncomfortable and every move you made the springs would creak and twang leading to a very restless night. The room was at the front of the building directly over a very busy and fast A594 road, so it was noisy at night.
