The place was clean and wonderful, with great services, and the owner was kind.

Anina went out of her way to accommodate our very late arrival. Small touches like switching on the lights when she realised we would be returning after dark. Comfortable beds and an amazing bathroom. Lovely stoep to spend lazy hours. The perfect stay for experiencing typical South African hospitality. We are looking forward to visiting again for a much longer stay.

Our stay at Rooiheuwel was absolutely amazing! The place is immaculate, beautifully maintained, and thoughtfully designed. The bathroom is modern and spotless, featuring a fantastic shower, while the bed is incredibly comfortable. Everything in the cottage is exactly as described—no surprises, just a well-equipped and tastefully decorated space. Nestled in a stunning garden near the main farmhouse, the cottage offers both tranquility and privacy. It is surrounded by lush tomato plantations, and during our visit, we had the pleasure of enjoying their deliciously fresh tomatoes! The cottage also boasts a lovely stoep (veranda) and excellent braai (barbecue) facilities, perfect for relaxing outdoors. Anina and her husband made our stay even more special with their warm hospitality. They provided great recommendations on where to eat and which route to take to the wedding venue, and they even shared some of their homegrown tomatoes with us. Communication was effortless—after booking, Anina reached out via WhatsApp, making it easy to exchange information. We also absolutely loved the friendly dogs and the cat, who made us feel even more at home—we will miss them! We highly recommend Rooiheuwel to anyone traveling to Wellington! It’s in a fantastic location, just five minutes from the town center, yet it offers a peaceful countryside retreat. We would love to return!

Loved the cottage and all the attention to detail. Very comfortable beds and great facilities for self catering. Environment was lovely and peaceful and the surroundings very pretty. Anina is so lovely to deal with.
