The Tottam Beach Hotel - Trincomalee

The accommodations were wonderful with a spacious room and bathroom, a private porch to sit out on, pretty gardens, and right on the beach. A much nicer stay than in trincomalee!!. The meals were outstanding! Rajith is an excellent chef and makes a wonderful breakfast and dinner, and is happy to share recipes and cooking techniques. He personally ensures everything is as you need it for your stay and went out of his way to take care of us. I would definitely stay at Tottam again... and highly recommend it!!

A bit far from the city

We had an incredible stay! The location is a dream for beach lovers, just steps from the water. The chef’s breakfast and dinner were fantastic, full of flavor and beautifully presented. The staff went above and beyond to ensure we had a memorable experience, always friendly and ready to assist with anything we needed. The place was spotless and well-maintained, making us feel comfortable and right at home. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a relaxing, beachside escape! A special thanks to Chef Silva!

Location not ideal as, in order to get into the centre you need to get a cab or tuk tuk. This hotel is a good option if you're also hiring a car or moped, if you want easy access to the centre of Trincomalee then the location probably won't work

Tottam beach is a little gem at the beachfront. Comfy beds, amazing breakfast with many options. Staff and service is great.

Room cleaning could have been better - we came across cobwebs, dust. The rooms didn't get an everyday cleaning service.

It has a lovely rustic charm and is set in a nice garden in a quiet area, right next to a long stretch of beach. However it’s not particularly close to the town centre of uppuvelli (rent a bike or get Tuk tuks from the hotel!). The rooms are basic yet comfortable and cosy with good aircon. The breakfasts and evening meals from the chef were delicious and very fairly priced considering its full freshly caught seafood, I’m not sure why there are comments saying it’s overpriced etc because I would say it’s very fairly priced for what you get!

More frequent room cleaning would have been nice but not a major issue.
