The Tottam Beach Hotel - Trincomalee

Right on the beach. Very good views from some rooms. Helpful staff.

Bathroom needs maintenance. Limited food options for vegetarians. Far away from most of restaurant and shops.

Rooms were clean and comfortable with air-conditioning and hot water in the shower (not that it was needed) There was also tea amd coffee facilities and the are was peaceful and looked out to a lovely unspoilt, quiet beach. Also loved the 2 dogs on site, they were so friendly and made the place more homely. The staff very very attentive and nothing was ever any trouble. We ate breakfast here twice and this was also lovely. Staff were also happy to arrange tuk tuks and arrange for us to go to a resturant when we arrived to get food and it was beautiful. We would stay here again.

The was nothing that we didn't dislike however the property could be 10/10 with a few tweaks. It would of been nice to have a fridge in the room. Also there is no proper bar or restaurant on-site however the property does service breakfast, lunch and dinner but there is not an actual menu to order from. Also they do have some soft drinks you can purchase but it is limited.

Problems with hot water Stuff doesn’t inform you about paid services and doesn’t tell you the price, it could be unpleasant moment while you check out It was dirty, no one sweeps terrace where many bugs (even dead) are on the floor Wi-Fi wasn’t good Also you should know that you can’t find any good shops or any cafe around the hotel, it is quite far away from everything The beach wasn’t very clean

A quiet relaxing stay. Enjoyed the food and chef catered gluten free easily which i appreciated.

Wifi wasnt great in our room but believe nobody else had this issue. The beach was ok but not as nice as other beaches closer to the town

This place was incredible and so nice to stay right on the beach. The rooms were clean and stunning. The food at the location which you can order is a huge feast of fresh foods. The guys working there were so lovely and helpful.

You’ll have to get a motorbike or transport into the main area where there’s restaurants and more going on. We hired a motorbike which was fun and easy to get around.

Very nice beach villa with balcony and sea view. Big and comfortable bed, big bathroom with toiletries. Good breakfast and good food for dinner with three course menu.

Dinner is a bit pricey for Sri Lanka standard and is fixed menu.

Private beach

The room was very nice and clean and on a perfect location near the sea. Silva and his team really made it perfect with great food and great hospitality.
