Funky place filled with a collection of random stuff from the colonial era. Lovely helpful host, nice food, and the room was large with loads of furniture and a fridge

We had the most amazing stay at Mangala lodge. The place itself is really nice, filled with all sorts of collectors items from Mangalas great grandfather. The rooms were great and clean. But most of all, Mangala, the host, was just so lovely. He is such a nice person and deeply cares about his guests’ experience. We had some great chats with him and he recommended us nice places to hike. He is what truly makes this stay a 10/10

Nothing honestly. The only thing is that the stay is a bit away from the center, but the local bus passes by regularly, tuktuks are easy to get and walking only takes about 30 minutes. So no complaint from us.

Mangala was a quirky and exceptional host. He was warm and friendly and couldn't do enough for us. He hired us tuk tuks and guided us on things to do and places to visit. We would return in a heartbeat! We actually booked for two nights but stayed for 5! Our breakfasts were amazing and varied and Mangala soon learned our favourites and his main aim was to please us, going to the market each day with us in mind. We loved the covered chill out area and spent a lot of time there, unwinding from our self imposed hectic schedule. We were surrounded by quirky antiques and artifacts collected by Mangala's grandfather. And Mangala's extended family, who were also lovely, lived in connecting properties. We were even invited to attend his little great nephew's first birthday party! A wonderful and memorable stay!

The air conditioning wasn't working for our stay but Mangala rallied around and found us a satisfactory fan.

Чудесный, заботливый и отзывчивый хозяин. Всегда старался помочь. Завтраки разнообразные и очень сытные. Вкусные. В доме (чуть не написала в музее) очень много старинных вещей, собранных поколениями. Можно и в музей не ходить. Это восхитительно! В доме тихо, ночью ничего не мешает спать. Милый сад с кориандром, корицей и другими растениями. Объяснил мне как доехать до Риди Вихарая, еще и водителю тук-тука давал наставление. Тук-тук до автовокзала стоил 200-260 рупий через пикми. Давал рекомендации и буклеты по наиболее интересным местам в окрестностях. И сделал мне презент, это было так мило, память о нем навсегда останется со мной. Если еще раз буду в Курунегале, то обязательно остановлюсь здесь.

Все описала в другом отзыве, ибо осталась дольше чем бронировала первоначально. Резюме- все хорошо.
