Mangala Lodge

Camere pulitissime e ampie in un contesto silenzioso e tranquillo, pieno di splendide piante e molto caratteristico. Siamo stati proprio bene, era l'ultima notte del nostro viaggio e ottima tappa per spezzare il viaggio da Trincomalee. Ma Mangala Lodge è innanzitutto il suo host, Mangala, persona generosa e dal cuore grande, pronta ad accogliere i suoi ospiti con ogni cura e attenzione (preoccupandosi perfino di curare un raffreddore con una tisana - miracolosa!). Ha anche contrattato per noi i tuk tuk e predisposto tutto per il meglio per il nostro rientro a Colombo. La zona permette di fare tante escursioni, ma non ne abbiamo avuto il tempo! Grazie di tutto, Mangala!

We wholeheartedly thank you for a wonderful time. The owner is a charming man with a big heart. He welcomed us with fruit from his garden and taught us how to eat mangoes with cane sugar. Mangale arranged transportation at a very good price to both the train station and to Pinnawala, the waterfalls, and other attractions. It's a place with wonderful energy, heart, and love for its people. Mangale loves children, people, and conversation. He's the sweetest man we met in Sri Lanka. We miss him already.

I recently stayed at this lodge and had a truly wonderful experience. They offered both Sri Lankan and English food, and I must say, the taste and quality were absolutely excellent. Every meal felt carefully prepared and full of flavor. The hospitality was warm and genuine. @Mangala was very friendly, helpful, and always made sure we were comfortable. The atmosphere of the hotel was safe and peaceful, which made it a perfect place to relax and unwind. I highly recommend this lodge to anyone who enjoys a calm and quiet environment, with great service and delicious food in Kurunegala area. Would definitely come back! Mr. Mangala seems really nice and helpful.

I arrived late and left early in the morning. It was a decent room, not very clean and with a broken shower. It was soooo overpriced. If you can, just go outside the city you will find excellent options for the same price.

Mangala is the sweetest host we had in a while! The neighborhood is quiet, sweet and very local, in the best way possible. We spontaneously arrived very early at night (5am), lost our key, got soaked in heavy Rain but Mangala took care of everything. The onion sambol omelette was the best omelette I had in Sri Lanka so far.

It really is like a museum! Quirky antiques! And Mangala was very helpful. Bit quiet if you are looking to socialise - but after I left more guests were arriving.
