Casa Mazonce

Only the location of the place.

My stay at Casa Mazonce was my worst stay I ever had during my one year travel through Mexico. As I arrived there were construction work going on in the building, to build more rooms. It was so extremely cold inside due to the open entrance doors, as well dusty, dirty and noisy. The big kitchen downstairs isn’t well equipped, the facilities were not clean and they do not provide any drinking water. The two bathrooms on the second floor (shared with many rooms) were not clean, no toilet paper and you don’t get a towel (you need to rent a towel for 30 MXN). The room was tiny with a small window (facing the inside of the building) above the wardrobe, it’s extremely dark inside when you switch of the light. The walls to the neighbor rooms are so thin that you could hear absolutely every noise from the neighboring guests. One of the neighbor guests came back at 2 am and snored until I checked out the next morning, so it was not even possible to sleep at this place. I do not recommend this place to any other guests!!

Don't look how beautiful its brend new renovation insaid of belding everything is Old!!! Cold 🥶❄️ not clean they not change the sheets 😷😔!!!! It's only vision everything it's beautiful its not Also the other girl how working there very unrespectful and not responsible person not speaking English language!!!! I don't know what she working there and what she doing there she don't know nothing

The location was decent.

The property was under construction when I showed up. The bathrooms didn’t have toilet paper and the showers didn’t have shower curtains. Also, the outlets didn’t work in my room, and the window didn’t have glass. Overall, the community kitchen was dirty and had cockroaches throughout the unit. Lastly, the phot of the place you see are staged and not accurate. When I asked to speak to the manager and owner to share my grievances, the staff told me that the owners live out of the country and not accessible. I wanted a refunded for being duped but they couldn’t do anything to resolve the issues with my stay. Instead, they said to work directly with Booking.com and still trying to figure that out.

Locality near Reforma street was great.

It was difficult to contact the hostel via booking.com and sms. There was not enough water and mostly not hot water so in the end i took short cold shower. Guests have to pay extra for towels.
