Thomasha Homestay & Tuk Tuk Tour

We stayed for 2 nights and it was a good variety to the touristic places we visited before. The whole family was very welcoming and Thomashas wife cooked an amazing dinner for us. Thomasha did two trips with us (Waterfall and temple) for a fair price and gave us explanations and even hiked with us to the top to some little places where we could swim. We recommend the homestay if you want to have a real local experience in Sri Lanka.

The only thing I didn‘t like is that the bed were a bit hard, but thats complaining at a high level:)

Amazing owners, amazing food.

Stayed here to break up our ride from Arugam bay to the south of the island. Very comfortable stay for a reasonable price. Selected the no air con room but was able to upgrade with aircon for 1000LKR. Owner was so lovely and kind, loves to have a chat which we love. Got back to out TukTuk the next morning with the doors open and ready, he even cleaned it for us! So grateful :)

Thomasha as well as his wife and children were very friendly. We had dinner at his place twice and breakfast once all meals were very good and reasonably priced. He provided a free tuk tuk ride into town for me to buy beers. He took us in his tuk tuk to the waterfalls and guided us there as well as took us too the temple which his his children accompanied us all for a very good price. Very friendly family. Also local places nearby to buy breakfast or fruit drinks. The area was also quiet at night.

Although the bed, sheets and floor were clean. The walls and curtains could be cleaned as they were stained from bugs etc.

Thomasha is the best host we had on our trip. So friendly and welcoming. He contacted us beforehand to learn our arrival time so that he can be present at the house when we arrived. He showed us where to go to have lunch, and took us on his tuk tuk to the Ella Walla waterfall, which was a gem !

Thomasha is so friendly and welcoming! He is genuinely nice and cares for his neighborhood. He asked me to come to a private English lesson with him to say hello to the young children which would brighten their day. The room is simple and has everything you need. It’s very clean and you even have a balcony. very calm area, and the fan is sufficient!
