We really enjoyed our stay at Holidays Madeira. The accommodation was basic, but we had everything we required for a comfortable stay. Frédéric was such a welcoming host and very helpful with any questions we had about our location.

The location.

Freezing cold and the radiator was cut off in the morning and day. The room was dark and damp, making it impossible to have any of our wet clothes dried, which we had every day due to it being rainy. The host recommended to hang them outside, which I did and had all of my socks swept away with the wind due to it being stormy. Had my only dry pair of socks on me and walk into the bathroom, which he had wiped the floor of with no notice. So my only pair of socks get wet too. Smell of mould in the building. Uncomfortable bed. Unwelcoming signs everywhere. The host wanted €10 to dry the clothes, which you’d need to do everyday, significantly driving up the cost of this place. Unhospitable. Really, everything was bad but the location.
