The house is big and definitely has character! The living room and the kitchen provide everything you need. Nice to have a private bedroom and bathroom.

It was somewhat hard to find with the taxi, I didn't receive any instructions. Just below the house there is a go-kart track, making a lot of noise. The house smelled mouldy. There were so many mosquitoes inside, that the living room was a no go area. Even after a big mosquito hunt in the bedroom I got stung over 15 times in 1 night.

The accommodation has basic things you need, but it is enough. We stayed there 7 nights and we loved it. Frederic is one of the nicest hosts I have ever met. The bathroom is cleaned every day. The room is big enough and the bed is comfortable. We had a nice and pleasant stay 😊

Expect of the road next to the rooms and that there was no stove

Spacious rooms. Good equipped, Frederic is super friendly, helpful and understanding person. He was flexible with the check in time. Everything is very clean. There is fridge as well as microwave in the common area. Good location, there is free parking nearby, there are a few small cafes next to the property so you can easily have breakfast in the morning. There is timetable for buses(I saw bus stop a minute away from the house) and some Madeira guides books in the room.

That is not disadvantage but could be improved, trash bin is missing in the room. Another thing what was okay for us but maybe a problem for someone, shared bathroom is located outside, so basically you need to pass common area in the balcony and you will reach the bathroom.

Large sized room with a comfortable bed. Plenty of power sockets for charging. Bathroom was always spotless and shower had good pressure. Felt like there was only ever one other set of guests staying at the same time. Location set between the mountains which is really beautiful. Quiet area at night as most tourists come to visit during the day. Still a handful of good restaurants in walking distance. Friendly staff even though she only spoke French she did her best to give us the instructions of the guest house.

The bath could get very slippery when showering but this was a minor issue.

This apartment is great if you're looking for a place to rest after a long day of exploring treasures of Madeira. The owner is super friendly, shared terrace and bathroom are cleaned every day, it's peaceful and gives off a "homey" vibe. We enjoyed our stay here. :)

We missed some kitchen appliances (for example a dish drying rack, a big knife for slicing bread) ...
