Very peaceful great breakfast and friendly staff

We stayed in a ground floor apartment with a lovely garden view. It was clean throughout and the fittings and furnishings were of excellent quality. The large L shaped sofa was particularly comfy and the walk through shower was fabulous. The owner was very friendly and provided us with complimentary fresh milk and butter and a little breakfast basket with cereals, pastry’s and some fruit. As wildlife lovers, it was lovely to be able to watch the garden birds on the feeders from the bedroom window. There was also a feeding box for red squirrels, although we didn’t see any during our stay, we still enjoyed watching for them.

The hosts are wonderful - very warm and nice and helpful. The room was beautiful, specious, comfortable, clean and with a wonderful view. The bathroom is huge! It's located in a stunning area - many beautiful walks, lakes and vistas just short drive from there. We really had a great time there and highly recommend

Jeanette met us in the carpark, after telling us how to get to Graysonside as we got lost. We stayed in apartment 1 with a garden. The apartment was beautiful, and we had everything we needed for the 2 nights we were there. Tea/ coffee /milk/butter/ yougarts/water/ continental breakfast/soap/shampoo & body wash & loo roll all included in the price. You can have a cooked breakfast if you want one for an extra charge, we chose to go to the Sainsburys to get bacon & sausage. The apartment was spotlessly clean, the bed was huge. It was lovely to sit in the garden in the evening it was so peaceful. When Janette found out the trip was for my birthday, she gave me a bottle of presecco, which was really nice. It is a perfect base to visit the nearby lakes. We went to Buttermere which was around 25 minutes in the car. A tip is to get there early for a parking space as it gets busy. The town is a few minutes or a 20 minute walk from Graysonside. We would highly recommend Graysonside the attention to detail is second to none.

Room a little dated but comfortable and clean. There is a plan to renovate the rooms later this year.
