Man Guest Polonnaruwa

Die Gastgeberin ist extrem freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Frühstück sowie das Abendessen waren grosszügig und ausgezeichnet- das beste Rice&Curry nach 4 Wochen in Sri Lanka. Die Gastgerin hat für uns eine private Safari in den Hurulu Eco Park organisiert. Wir sahen 50-60 Elefanten und hatten einen hervorragenden Fahrer/Guide.. wir erfuhren sehr viel interessantes über die Elefanten und viels mehr. Ebenso wurde uns der Besuch im archäologischen Park organisiert. Die Lage fanden wir ebenfalls sehr gut. Nah zu allem und doch sehr ruhig. Wir sind rundum zufrieden und können das Man Guest von Herzen empfehlen.

Better sind eher etwas hart.

The guesthouse has a very beautiful setting with the porch and terrace towards a green courtyard and the surrounding rice paddies. It is conveniently located close to the Archeological Museum as the starting point to all the sites with the only ticket office. It is also worth strolling around the small island park behind the museum for sunset. We received a welcome tea from our host Nilusha, who was very kind and helpful. It's a delight to sit on the porch (with or without a tea), enjoy the view into the green and listen to the sounds of nature. Our room was very spacious, clean and well maintained. Wifi is fast and also available outside while sitting on the porch. It is possible to receive breakfast and dinner at the guesthouse. The home cooked food was very good with generous portions. In order to get around the spread out archeological sites one can rent bicycles from the guesthouse.

Ребята, это невероятно классное место. Хозяйка просто восхитительная! Очень рекомендую его, если путешествуете по стране. Рядом старый город - ancient Pollonaruwa. Владелица восхитительная, видно, как человек обожает свое дело, гостей. Она организовала нам поездки в Сигирию и Национальный парк, посмотреть слонов, а также трансфер в Нувара Элию. То есть весь этот головняк с поискам машины во все точки она взяла на себя. Невероятно круто! В номере очень чисто, просторно, хорошее постельное белье. Хозяйка сервирует завтраки и ужины. Тоже очень рекомендую! Все невероятно вкусно, четко в срок по времени. Очень довольна, что забронировала именно это место. Дорогие владельцы, процветания вам и самых замечательных гостей!

The host gave us a birthday cake!! ❤️ Also we swapped our bigger room for the one on the end - lovely views over the fields and we could keep our curtains open too. Melissa organised our elephant safari, saw heaps. We also went on the sunset cruise - hilarious 'boat' (no engines allowed on the lake) with lovely crew - took more pics of bird island than we did of the elephants! She is also a really good cook. Oh and these were the best bikes we've hired so far

All the room terraces face in, so not much privacy - except our room on the end!!

Location - just off main road for easy access, but also view across ricefields. Very scenic. Helpful and efficient host arranged excursions and transport very well. Ample tasty breakfast and dinners. Aircon in bedroom appreciated. Spotless bathroom. Undercover patio dining area cool and great view.

j'ai beaucoup aimé l'accueil, l'hospitalité des hôtes est formidable. On est reçu comme des invités. J'ai diné et petit déjeuner sur place, c'était délicieux. J'avais la vue sur les rizières et la nature, c'était formidable. on comprend aisément que les clients sont des sri lankais en déplacement professionnel d'où le nom de l'hostel mais les touristes seuls sont très bien accueillis aussi.

Accueil chaleureux, chambre avec terrasse et vue sur les rizières. Le personnel est d’une grande attention et gentillesse. Nous avons pu louer des vélos afin de visiter la cité ce qui était très appréciable. Mention spéciale à madame pour sa cuisine généreuse et pleine de saveurs ! Très bon rapport qualité/prix.

The room was very clean and huge! The owners were very friendly and welcoming! We really enjoyed our stay in Man Guest House!
