Sandsides Guest House

We had a lovely stay at Sandsides. Rebecca was an excellent host, nothing was too much trouble. The guest house is a Victorian building which was lovely, our large bedroom had an original fireplace, high ceiling and decorative cornices. The large bedroom was really comfortable. The room had everything you would expect, an ensuite bathroom with shower, tea and coffee making facilities, TV, WiFi, etc. There was also a large lounge on the ground floor. Breakfast was excellent, as well as the usual cooked breakfast with all the trimmings, toast and cereal, there was also natural yogurt with a lovely homemade fruit compote and yummy banana cake. The location was brilliant, close to the town centre, beach, theatre, etc. As we were by the seaside we had the traditional fish and chips from the near-by Fisherman’s Bay take-away and restaurant. In the second night we had a meal at Beefeater which again was a few minutes walk away. I would highly recommend Sandsides.

Best bnb I’ve ever stayed in by far. Host was so welcoming and thoughtful. I felt like family 💚💚 food was amazing, room was tidy and comfy , had everything you would need for a lovely stay. thanks so much for having me

Not a single thing was even slightly not likeable

The best was the warm hospitality from Rebecca and Carol. Rebecca made it feel like we were in an old-style hotel. One doesn't get that kind of experience much these days, as places are anonymised and faceless with automated bookings and check-ins. Rebecca took so much trouble to make delicious breakfasts with her cooking and home-baked treats. The location was wonderful and easy to get around from, and very close to the beach.

We had a wonderful stay at Sandsides, we were able to book in early so we could start our day, Rebecca showed us around our accommodation and said if we needed anything just to give her a call. The bed was very comfortable and we had a good nights rest. Breakfast was delicious, plenty of choice and homemade banana bread. There’s parking just outside of the hotel and you’re given a permit during your stay.

Fantastic location, a stones throw from the beach & the Spanish City. Lovely welcome from the owner, friendly & helpful . The room was beautiful, full of character & welcoming touches.

Nothing, it was perfect

Very friendly professional staff. Lovely freshly cooked breakfast and lots if choice of cereals, juice, fresh fruit and homemade banana bread. Beautiful guest lounge. Perfect quiet location for sea front. Easy street parking. Host provides permit

It was December and a problem with heating. We needed to ask twice because radiator in room went off. Would have helped if there had been supplementary heating
