Pongkham Residence

Pongkham is very clean with nice rooms. They offer a nice breakfast each morning at a communal table, which makes it easy to meet other guests. The hosts are extremely accommodating and do everything to make sure you enjoy your stay in Luang Prabang. The wifi in Luang Prabang seems not to be very strong in general but Pongkham offered strong enough wifi for me to work a little.

It’s a bit of a walk from the main part of town but they offered many free bicycles which I enjoyed riding into town.

Family run guesthouse with extremely hospitable staff and warm, friendly owners. Mr Wan was a tour operator so we got the inside scoop on the town and what to do and when. The free bicycles available make a huge difference as you're about 2km outside the centre (6min cycle). Owners also organised transport and scooters at a fair price. Even helped us buy train tickets when we were not in town (great after sales service). I'll be sure to return!

The owners spoke very good English and they were able to help me with anything. Also they are really nice and made me and the other travellers feel like in a family. The breakfast omlette looked amazing. I don’t eat eggs bur I had bread butter and home-made gem that the owners made themselves. It was so interesting to try! The villa is very nice, clean, even social if you go for breakfast or stay on the terrace after dinner. They have good functioning mountain bikes that you can use to explore around. Also ask One (the owner) about a route for the bycicle, we did the one he recommended and it was so cool.

It was a 20 min walk from the center but actually this allowed me to explore a very cool area that is more local so I ended up loving it.

everything super! clean, cozy and the family is just super sweet and nice. the big table for breakfast is nice and allow you to meet and share experience and a little chat with the other guests while having breakfast.

One of the best stays I have had in South East Asia. Big room with big comfortable bed, The shower is the best I have had in South East Asia by far. The property offers free bicycles which is perfect for heading into town thats 10 minutes away, the location just outside of town makes the stay nice and quiet. Breakfast is basic bread and eggs with fruit but it is delicious.

I had a wonderful stay in Wan’s residence. The room was clean and well-equipped. Wan is very attentive to his guests and his wife is making fabulous dinner every morning. The residence is slightly outside of town centre but bikes are provided to guests free of charge.

This place is not in the city but still OK to cycle in 10mins!

The owner family is amazing. Mr Van welcomes everyone with great warmness. I felt like home and appreciate everything. He provides you every information you need. Very reliable host. Laundry was also very good. Room is very clean and you can reach good bicycles. I will go back for sure.
