Wonderful stay, I really recomend

The owners were friendly and knowledgeable. They gave many recommendations on activities. The bikes are a great way to get around.

I paid more to stay here because of the free bikes. The bikes were in very good condition and the provided padlocks felt stronger than a lot of others I have used. The cycle ride into town took about 10 minutes whereas the walk would be about 20 minutes. As for the rest of my stay - the staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was big with lots of fruit and homemade jam. There is a hot and cold water dispenser with tea and coffee always available. The room was huge with very good air conditioning and balcony. New water bottles everyday.

The free bikes are only for use in the local area, not the waterfalls which I didn't know until I got there. There seemed to be some sort of website blocker so I couldn't use certain websites such as booking.com or checking in to my flight. There is so much to do in Luang Prabang that there isn't much time to be in the room anyway. It's just good to know so you can plan ahead for your next destination.

The service was excellent! In some reason the booking map guided me to wrong address and the kindly owner of the guesthouse picked me up with his scooter!

the location is a bit off

The Pongkam Residence, is a great place to stay with amazing hosts Channaly and Wan who make you feel at home. Wan has fantastic knowledge on places to see and how to get there as he was a guide for many years. Channaly also worked within tourism too, so as well as a lovely clean place to stay you get a wealth of information on Laos. The rooms were spotless as they are cleaned every day. The breakfast was great with omelette, bread and jam, fruit and coffee or tea. Also you get the free use of bicycles which is a great way to get around. Pongkham Residence is a 20 minute walk from Luang Prabang centre or a a five minute Tuk Tuk ride. For value for money you would find it hard to beat in Luang Prabang.

Perfect hotel and stay. The rooms are large and comfortable. There are bicycles free to use for guests which made getting around Luang Prabang so convenient. The hotel owner was so helpful and friendly. Great experience.

Mister Wan is a knowledgeable ex Laos Tour guide who will make your stay worthwhile! He gave me so many great tips to fine tune my travel routes. Without him my Luang Prabang trip wouldn't have been the same! Rooms are gorgeous but basic - remember you're in Laos. The breakfast table downstairs is a great place to meet like minded travelers. I wholeheartedly recommend this place!

The room was absolutely gorgeous and so the views from the balcony. The family that lives there is very nice and helpful.
