Pongkham Residence

Very comfortable, lovely staff, delicious breakfast. A little outside the main thoroughfare but walkable and they offer free bicycles also. I had just returned from a long hiking trip and this was a very pleasant place to get some rest before the next adventure.

The hosts were fantastic, helping with every question and making excellent suggestions. They were also great at organising transport. The facilities are excellent for the price as central Luang Prabang is very expensive. The bicycles provided are good quality and made a long ride easy. The communal breakfasts at a big table gave plenty of time to meet and chat to fellow travellers.

Is out of town so either use one the bikes or get a taxi/tuk tuk. A few more toiletries could be provided.

Comfy bed, quiet at night and they had bikes you could borrow for the day which was great as the location is a bit out of the main area but we liked that! Not too far especially with a bike. Best shower we have had in our travels the last few months. Breakfast was also delicious!

The hosts are wonderful you get a fully cooked breakfast every morning and sit around a large table with the other guests which is nice. The beds were very comfortable and the rooms had a nice traditional feel to them. It was slightly out of town which is no issue as you can take a push bike for free or the provide a motorbike for rent. The rooms were cleaned each day also.

The shower pressure was very weak and the hot water was hard to control.

The owner made me feel very welcomed and at home. He gave good advice on how to make the most of my time in Luang Prabang, and which parts of town to see. They had free bikes to use while traveling around the city which was very nice. The room is pretty standard, clean and airconditioned, but the owner made sure that the hotel stood out as one of the most welcoming stays I've had in Laos.

On one of the evenings, there was a big party in the neighbourhood with karaoke that got pretty loud.

We liked this place as much the second time as the first. Highly recommended.

Wonderful and filling breakfast, free bicycle use, clean and spacious room, clean shower with free toiletries provided, very kind and welcoming hosts, and decent wifi. Would not hesitate to book again.

Quite far from anything, but shouldn't be a problem to most.

Very nice host and service. Comfortable room. 30 minutes on foot to the historical city centre or you take one of the free to rent bicycles.
