The host's hospitality and suggestions of tourist spots was great. He also allowed us to check in early and helped us get a rental scooty. His assistant was also quite helpful and dropped us back to the bus stand the next morning.

The bathroom and room are pretty old. Good value for money but they're really old.

Horrible experience! The caretaker Kumar is an untrustworthy man. I made payment in cash and he said he’d owe me the change next morning. The room was horrible so when I left that night, he magically had the change to give me which wasn’t even the exact amount, it was less. Next, he showed me the room full of mosquitos because he had kept the door open and there was no repellent. The bed is uncomfortable, no mosquito net, the towel is stained and the pillow is mouldy. I was too afraid to stay because of fear of bed bugs. The pictures online are nothing like the room itself. The room is worn out and dirty. When I told him my concerns he said I’m only staying for a short time, so don’t worry about the issues. He did nothing to clean the room or improve my stay. I asked if other rooms are available and he said no, that’s the only room. I could see there are heaps of keys for rooms at reception so I persisted to ask if there are other rooms, and the rooms magically became available at double the price. He showed me the upstairs AC room and it was marginally better but not worth the price. I was upset at how horrible he treated me so I left. Would not recommend! Horrible place to stay and really shocked that it’s recommended in lonely planet because this is a scam!!

Perfect location! Close to all major attractions and beaches. Warm hospitality. Clean rooms.

Functional, efficient - pretty much as expected! Fans in some of the rooms only have 1 working speed which can affect sleep a bit, but was not an issue for our short stay - and is really not too uncommon for many places in India. No frills but perfectly pleasant. Appreciated having a little balcony to sit outside. Guest house is across the street from a sweet little cafe and very easy location for touring around.
