I love the personalized attention that Colin and David gave to all me needs, including a ride to the ferry when they could not get a taxi for e.

There is really not anything I did not like

A comfortable room with adjacent shared bathroom. Excellent breakfast with plenty of choice. Great attention to detail by David and Colin.

It's a bit of a slog up from St Peter Port, but there are plenty of buses

Le monsieur qui nous a accueillies est très sympathique, très anglais ! Il est serviable et disponible. L'établissement est propre !

Le B&B est plutôt "dans son jus", la première nuit nous étions dans une sorte d'annexe, il a plu toute la nuit et devant notre fenêtre la gouttière était cassée, on a entendu l'eau couler toute la nuit. Il y avait une petite odeur d'humidité dans la chambre. Tout était propre, même si le lavabo dans la chambre était fêlé. Le système pour l'eau chaude de la salle d'eau dans le couloir est plutôt déroutant. C'est un genre de chauffe eau sur les tuyaux. La 2ème nuit nous avons été logées dans 1 chambre twin au 2ème étage du batiment principal. C'était un peu bruyant, et toujours le même chauffe eau sur les tuyaux de la douche. Le tout est plutôt vieillot mais bien entretenu quand même. Le B&B est un peu loin du centre ville de guernesey, heureusement le bus 41 ou 42 s'arrete pas très loin.

Colin is an excellent and welcoming host to the kind of bed and breakfast establishment that has been going out of style. The good-value rooms - I stayed in two different ones separated by two days on which he could not accommodate me - boast a fridge and microwave. The breakfasts are copious, and can include kippers! The property is a good walk from the old town of St Peter Port or a convenient bus ride. Colin’s assistant David also kindly drove me to the airport after my ferry to Jersey was cancelled.

I had a minor problem accessing the complicated TV system in my second room - but this was soon solved.

The weather

I only stayed here for 1 night so can’t really give an in-depth review, I left early in the morning so declined the breakfast. Colin the host was most welcoming, very friendly and extremely helpful

The property seemed very dated but was functional, a shared bathroom between 3 rooms which if I’m totally honest I wouldn’t want to do again.

Great houst and couse environment 👌

The guest house is 30 minutes walk from the centre of St. Peter Port. There is a bus service of sorts but while it's quite cheap, it's not great. There are a lot of excellent sites and museums connected with the German occupation in WW2 - well worth a look. The guest house is nice with friendly staff and a good breakfast - great value for money.

Transport! The buses were all over the place and while the island is pretty (especially the west coast) it isn't what you would call stunning.
