Beautiful location and buildings

No atmosphere, we arrived on a Sunday afternoon. All we were looking forward to is having a glass of wine on the patio of this beautiful setting overlooking the dam. We booked for dinner but after 45minutes of waiting we had no choice but to drive to the village where we were greated and treated like royalty at pot and plough. We cancelled our dinner booking not knowing what to expect. Great food at Pot and Plough.

The scenery and location were beautiful

The room was damp, not sufficient lights, no privacy between the toilet and bedroom. The blanket in the cupboard was moldy and smelling badly. The kitchen staff were new and still learning and the food was not the best.

“A breathtaking experience!” Although it was winter in spring, our stay was absolutely wonderful. The staff made sure we were warm and cozy — with a fire prepared for us and a heater ready to warm our roots. The rooms were beautiful and comfortable. We later discovered there’s a standalone room adjacent to a standard room, which would have been perfect for our self-catering request — but now that we know, we’ll definitely book that combination next time because we’ll surely be visiting again! The food was delicious, and the staff were incredibly friendly and always willing to assist with a smile. They truly go all out to make sure guests feel welcome and comfortable. Highly recommended for anyone looking for peace, warmth, and genuine hospitality.
