Host & Stay - Sunny Dale Cottage

We loved the cottage couldn't fault it, the location was great close to shops, pubs, cafe. We booked to stay mon to Fri but left on the Wed as my husband had a fall in the bathroom as the floor was very very slippy even though I had a bath mat down. I didn't want to leave a negative review but something needs to be done about the flooring I have checked other reviews and it has been mentioned before.

Modern, fresh look and cleanliness was excellent. Well placed in village and local area for our needs (why we chose this location). Furnishings were well chosen and clean & comfortable. We found beds very comfortable and linen clean. Building was warm when we arrived and maintained comfortable temperature throughout. We appreciated the heated towel rail for 4 adults showering regularly.

We found it difficult to locate instructions for the hob from the links sent by the agent. In the end resorted to googling generic instructions for the similar hobs. This took unnecessary time for 2 experienced people. Printed instructions for key appliances would be helpful.

Easy acess for limited mobility

Bath difficult to to get out off could do with a handle on the wall.

Perfect location for what we wanted to do. Having a parking space was also an advantage as Thornton Le Dale was busy. We would have sat in the garden had it been warmer.

If you are going to cook remember to bring condiments and if needed cooking oil.

Dust on drencher shower and skirting boards, cobwebs, toaster not cleaned. Bath drained very slowly. Main television reception was very temperamental. Communication between host and house keeping meant cleaner arrived after we had been there one night, ( had early arrival ) and still took all photos to prove cleaning had been done with all our belongings there.
