"Exactly what we wanted."

Fabulous stay at Nunnery Lane. Very comfortable and great location within walking distance of York centre and train station. Communication from owner was excellent. We’d most definitely stay again.

"Great location for weekend away."

Owners were very communicative. House is in an excellent position to explore York.

We felt the bathroom was too small (5 girls on a weekend away and only one toilet and one small shower). A bath is available but is a tiny Japanese style and seems a bit of a waste of precious bathroom space.

"Short family break to see all the sights , history and attractions in York that we could in 4 days."

It was clean, very comfortable, full of character and the location was perfect for exploring York on foot. The host Alistair and Claire were friendly, welcoming and informative. Would return and definitely recommend.

It’s size and location

Some elements of cleanliness but properly due to previous occupants- odd dirty cup/ plate/ toilet etc. Had there been cats in the property? My husband and son had quite a bit of hassle with parking- probably better to arrive by train.
