JJs Lodge Azalea

We come across this place last year looking at a get away before the Christmas. We love York and the Christmas markets. So no brainer when this place came up with a hot tub too. The place was so nice, clean and comfortable. The restaurant staff were very helpful and friendly. The food was beautiful. The lodge felt so christmasy due to the Christmas tree. The rooms, kitchen, bathrooms were all clean. No issues at all. Would recommend to everyone. We are certainly looking to book again. Thank you all very much. Merry Christmas 🎄 and a happy New Year!!

The lodge is absolutely beautiful, very warm, clean and comfortable. It was very well stocked. There was breakfast provided for us and in the fridge ready for the following morning. They provided milk for our arrival. It’s the little things that make the difference. Only one negative was the hot tub was not at a temperature for us to be able to use despite being told it was ready for us when we arrived. Everything else perfect.

The staff could not do enough for us, Ellie, you are a great asset to the company. Christmas tree up in the room, heating already on, great welcome. The food in the restaurant was great, good value for money. We will be booking again.

Everything. The lodge itself is stunning. What an exceptional place to stay. It was beautiful from the first view. Parking space right next to the lodge. The Christmas tree was gorgeous, and was a lovely thing to see lit up and in the lodge on arrival. The basket you get on arrival is full of cereal, orange juice, bread buns, a ham, cheese and egg platter. Honestly this was such a fantastic place to stay. I couldn’t be any happier about this lodge and the service from the staff from also exceptional. Hoover, dishwasher, cutlery, plates, towels, everything you could need is inside there lodge. The hot tub was fantastic. I haven’t ever been in one before and I now see what all the fuss over hot tubs is about! Thanks JJ’s. Fabulous stay! We’ll absolutely definitely be back.

That we couldn’t book the next day. As we wanted to stay here another night but we were too late and lodge is already taken. I loved everything about this lodge. Literally everything.

Everything! The location, the place, the hot tub, the living space, it was all wonderful.

The room and hot tub were ready for us when we arrived. Lovely facilities. The food in the restaurant was delicious too. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

They have changed the breakfast and no longer provide a cooked breakfast in the morning. Instead you get a cold, day old Continental breakfast, but the price is the same as before. We didn't eat the breakfast as sugary sweet waffles are not something we would eat. The gentleman in the restaurant recommended a cafe in the centre of the Pocklington village, so we went there instead.
