The Old Pump House

Really lovely place, exactly as shown in the photos, very cosy and home-like. We were all blown away when we arrived. The kitchen was well-equipped. Loved that there were two bathrooms with shower and also a WC downstairs. And having the parking space outside is very convenient too.

The boiler only had a limited amount of hot water each day!!! This definitely warrants a prior warning so that water usage could be planned ahead! We ran out of hot water for the last person to shower on the first day because we didn't know that it would take hours for the boiler to save up enough hot water again. It was fine on the second day with more careful planning. Also, the stairs are not the easiest for getting luggage upstairs, but you can judge for yourself from the photos.

Good location very comfortable & clean

The recycling was a bit confusing, in the instructions it said place the bins out on Sunday morning at 10:00am even though the recycling isn’t collected till Mondays. Also even though we place the recycling in the Blue bin & domestic in the green bin we found out afterwards from one the neighbours that it should be segregated Into separate recycling bags for collection instead. Maybe a better explanation of the recycling process as depending where you come from in the world recycling is done differently. Very small snag but overall very nice stay.

The location was a 25 minute walk from the centre, only 5 mins by car, apart from that excellent

Property has been refurbished to a good standard. Location with regards to Tenby centre was good, the beach was good.

Cleanliness in some rooms wasn't great . The courtyard was not well kept, weeds / over grown and not inviting to want to use. This was disappointing as it was a lovely hot weekend . The outside needs attention . For the cost for 2 nights and we have a pet , we had no decent area to sit outside.

En-suite shower to master bedroom was fantastic. Good pressure and temperature.

Beds. Mattresses too soft for me. Although Mrs thought it was fine.

The Pumphouse was a lovely house. It was a good size with two large bedrooms and a bonus en-suite bathroom. The kitchen was well kitted out and had everything we needed, with a bonus of a washing machine and dishwasher. Wi-Fi was fantastic which isn’t always the case in Tenby! It was great to have a smart tv which kept everyone happy when we used it.

All really good, only issue was freeview was not working on tv but I think it just needs a new aerial lead.

Breakfast not applicable as self catering. Comfortable seating. Showers excellent. 2 Bathrooms. Quiet location.

Beds were futons, really struggled to get out of them as too low. No handrail on right side of staircase going down. Downstairs fire alarm missing/ none there. Roof vent fire escape ladder in twin room was broken and screws absent, therefore unusable. Reported via email to address given early on Monday the fact that when we arrived we were down to one light bulb working and toilet seat sliding off plus sink plug stuck in main bathroom. NO reply was received. I therefore phoned Nth Wales office on Thursday, no reply, Paige phoned back later in the morning and a maintenance guy called Pete replaced both the bulb and toilet seat on Friday he also took some photos of the aforementioned issues and problems, sending those to the Pillow offices. Unfortunately really, we felt we had to down rate the property and point out these issues, which could have been simply rectified which then we would have definitely given a far higher rating. Also we really feel that it should be stated in your advert that the property is not suitable for the elderly or people with mobility problems, as it now stands..
