Aintree Lodge - Hot Tub - Northumberland

Lodge was easy to find and had everything we needed for a nice stay perfect for quiet nights and peace from reality

the overall lodge was nice but does need some work/ deep clean as all the light fighting were covered in cobwebs and mouldy blinds in the onsuite

The Lodge was warm and cosy. The hot tub was really lovely and allowed my husband (who has been very unwell recently) to relax Close to Alnwick so enjoyed a trip to the beach and castle Beautiful views from the balcony

Lodge wasn't very clean. Mould on the blinds in the bathroom, chipped plates and the oven door didnt shut properly Fridge was also dirty Dust and cobwebs around the Lodge. Hot tub lid was super heavy, which for me was difficult to get on an off. Onsite facilties are none existent. One restaurant/pub about a 15 minute walk through a very dark forest. Didnt stay for a drink or food as it didnt smell very nice in there and people were smoking in the doorway which was allowing smoke to travel in

The location was good, fixtures and fittings were good

Bedding wasn’t ironed even though it was clean, we found hairs in the cups, kitchen wasn’t cleaned properly, the drain was smelling from the kitchen sink, the blind in the en suite was mouldy, the hot tub started cooling down half way through the second day and we couldn’t get the temperature back up and it needs a refresh

Beautiful clean lodge. It is well equipped with everything you could possibly want. Only downfall was the single beds. They could do with mattresses toppers. Hot tub was great. Maybe in your welcome book explain where the breaker switch is located. We lost power and the park reception wasn't helpful. We eventually found the breaker box and got it sorted ourselves. Other than that we had a fantastic weekend and would definitely recommend.

Single beds are uncomfortable.

Kept really clean, really comfortable and cosy. Would absolutely consider a return very soon.

Hot tub cover is a little awkward to manhandle and will need 2 persons to lift comfortably. Not a dislike, more of a cautious heads up to get best use from facilities. Would not put me off from booking this property again.

The location and the Lodge itself were fine. The hot tub was a good way to chill out.

There were a few bits of the Lodge that needed maintenance. A cupboard door was almost off its hinges, the main bathroom door couldn't be shut due to the door frame being swollen at the bottom due to damp. Some of the light bulbs in the hot tub area need replacing. There were a few bits of information in the Lodge folder that were incorrect (the WiFi password, the instructions for putting the heating on were wrong). Booking.com gave us the wrong code for the key box, we had to phone the owner to get the correct code. The freezer needs a good defrosting as 3 of the 4 drawers were frozen shut. It was a fair walk to the Pub/Restaurant and it wouldn't be much fun doing that in the dark as it was an unlit path much of the way.

Location was excellent, lodge was comfortable & clean & everything in there that we needed

Few maintenance issues sharp broken plug at the bottom of hot tub which could’ve caused injury Cupboard door in kitchen hanging off Outside area needs weeding & sweeping
