Aintree Lodge - Hot Tub - Northumberland

Hot tub fab, very thought out in terms of things you need when you stay somewhere (from kitchen to bedroom).

The sheets and towels had been cleaned but did smell like they had been dried in a smokers house. Lots of empty diffusers and clocks not working, just attention to detail, replace batteries and refill diffusers and would be spot on.

No amenities onsite. Signposting for local cafes etc.

We booked this lodge for our son a weekend away to celebrate his 21st with his girlfriend

The property was very comfortable with everything you need In a lovely part of the park getting all the sun , had a wonderful hot tub

The interior and layout of the lodge was good and allowed plenty of space. The hot-tub area was pretty private which was nice. Bedrooms were clean and the bed was very comfy. Nice quiet and calm location.

We did not receive any info about key box codes and where the lodge was on the map until about 20 minutes before check in time and that was only because I messaged twice. For an anxious person this was not helpful. On arrival, the lodge looked lovely and to a high standard, however this was not the case at a closer look. The fridge stunk and was covered in crumbs and stains, I had to clean the whole thing before feeling comfortable enough to put anything in it. The benches and sink were also covered in crumbs and stains so I also had to clean all of these. The utensils were dirty, I again had to wash everything before we could use it. It asked to empty bins and clear any recycling/rubbish which is absolutely fine but there were no bin bags provided to be able to do this! The oven and toaster didn’t look like it had ever been cleaned and the tray provided didn’t even fit in the oven. Overall not the standard I would expect and to be honest just wanted to be back to the cleanliness of my own home.

The lodge was beautiful and clean! me and my husband had a lovely weekend celebrating my 30th birthday the hottub was a added bonus. The area is quiet so perfect for a peaceful weekend we thoroughly enjoyed it and would highly recommend. thank you so much :)
