The Little Lighthouse - 2 minutes from the beach

Nothing. This property is dark dank and damp. No amount of air freshener can disgust the smell. Unclean dusty. Dirty fridge and totally unacceptable

DDD.... Dark, damp and dirty. DARK. The location of the apartment is lovely. It is built into a rock hill and faces north, and only gets sun in the late afternoon. The artificial lights was required all the time. DAMP. There is smell of dampness around the house. Wallpaper peeling off, mould to be seen on items. DIRTY. I spent a few hours cleaning the tiny patio as it was covered in leaves, sand and general debris. Inside was a bit better. Fridge is old and not functioning well. Ice shelf all full of ice and it looks like bars of icecream from previous tenant. All the door frames had mould on them or around the frame. In short it needs a really good professional clean. The furniture in the house was not selected based on the measurements of the place. The dining table and chairs are too big and clumsy for the space, so in reality only 2/3 people could possible sit at it and definitely not 4. The main bedroom door could not open fully as the bed was in the way. The chested drawer has 2 drawers that did not open/shut. The second bedroom had bunkbeds that took up 95% of the floor space, so to climb down safely from the top bunkbed, you went down a few steps then stood on a small bedside unit then jumped down. There was no facility to store clothes. I could go on...

Location fantastic. Clean, cosy, seaside cottage - exactly as advertised. Host was on call if required.

The accommodation was comfortable and had everything you need. Many walks to do and loved that it was a very short walk to the beach.

The cottage was very cosy and close to everything we needed. Having a little coffee shop practically next door and the beach a few minutes away was really great. It was a very quiet, relaxing stay. We had a very lovely time, and we took our dog too. Great all around. We would definitely stay again. The hosts were friendly and very helpful.
