Bathroom extremely cold even though there was a small fan heater.

Lovely quiet location out in the countryside. Lots of nice walks nearby, and a great location to visit nearby places.

We had a great stay - a really cosy place to switch off in, and a pub just next door!

The property was clean light and airy, all the beds were very comfortable (no futon beds on the mezzanine) the beds on the mezzanine had metal frames and good mattresses, the log burner in the lounge was perfect for keeping the rooms cosy and warm and the kitchen was well equipped with utensils, crockery, tea towels ect. The shower had plenty of hot water and towels were provided . The Duke of York pub is less than a minute walk and the food and drink was excellent! The location was peaceful and quiet.

Nothing it was all perfect!

The cottage was exceptionally appealing, situated within a scenic environment that exuded tranquillity. It was equipped with all necessary amenities to ensure a comfortable stay during our brief visit. Our decision to select this location was primarily motivated by a desire to avoid the typical New Year’s Eve festivities, which tend to include disruptive fireworks that unsettle our dogs. The cottage provided an ideal sanctuary, enabling us to enjoy a peaceful retreat while allowing our pets to remain calm in an environment free from the usual celebratory noise. This setting not only facilitated relaxation but also allowed us to appreciate the natural beauty of the surroundings during our stay.

The primary concern regarding the cottage was the lack of a backyard area. A garden at the rear would have been desirable; however, the available space is located at the front of the cottage, which is situated on the main road. Nevertheless, this was not a significant issue, as the traffic on the road is relatively light.

The old coach house is a very well appointed, everything you need for a self catered break away. A cosy multi-fuel burner and a large sofa creates a cosy and relaxing atmosphere. Fully fitted kitchen with everything needed. A very quiet location is welcomed compared to a busy city location.
