Charming Summerhouse Annexe in lush gardens in Fowey

The location was excellent, very clean, and the bed was very comfortable.

We didn't have any towels. Luckily we had 1 towel with us that we shared!

The location was excellent as it was right by the steps that led to the town centre. The other huge plus in terms of location was the parking. We have been to Fowey before and know parking is at a premium. If you have a car this accommodation couldn't be better. The parking was right beside the unit. The property was bright and very functional. It had a washing machine which after 2 weeks of travelling was appreciated and it was well stocked with kitchen utensils etc. We also appreciated the hosts checking in regularly to make sure everything was fine.

We realize that it is the end of the summer and this unit is well used during the peak season. It is tired. The floors were scratched and appeared dirty although they seemed clean. The bathroom needs a redo. There was rust in the tub, the sink is very old and the lighting was quite dim. As we stayed for a few nights we would have like some storage. Other than a few hangers there was nowhere to unpack a few things. A wardrobe would be helpful. This unit would be great with a little TLC.

Unique setting, ideal for town centre with parking. Clean.

Some paint work & blinds could do with refreshing. We went end of season, could just reflect wear & tear over the course of the season..

Bathroom was very disappointing. Old and not clean. Brown water marks everywhere. For the price, pretty shocking. Chest of drawers in the bedroom was unusable

Good location with parking. The bed was comfortable.

This property should not be described as luxury, it’s basic accommodation. The bathroom was not clean with mould on the grouting/sealant and a very grubby light pull cord. Only one light bulb of three worked in the bathroom. The shower screen seal was quite frankly disgusting. The property was generally very dusty, especially the radiator in the bedroom, skirting boards, and under the furniture. The garden furniture and sunshade were all in a poor state. Unfortunately Julian did not respond to my first message about our concerns and only messaged back when I told him I would not be giving him a 5 star review that he requested with the check out instructions.

It was such a delight, when we arrived, to open the gate to the grounds and see this beautiful little property. On entering we were both captivated by the size, layout and fittings of the Summerhouse. Everything we needed was there. To top it all the bed is sooo comfy. I would be happy to recommend this place to anyone looking for a place to stay in Fowey.
