Sadly, we were disappointed with the accommodation and felt unable to stay. The downstairs area had a lot of flies, it was not possible to get food out without flies landing on it. There were many on the main window which didn't appear to be clean. We appreciate this is a working farm, but as the cleaning was being completed as we arrived, we would have expected a fly free accommodation. I hope the owner rectifies this for future bookings. As yet, we have not been able to get any refund, and we only stayed 4 hours. For most of the time we were there, the grass near our property was being strimmed, which stressed out both of our dogs If you want a private garden, this is not the one for you, Also, note the farm rents out other accommodation on the farm, we hadn't appreciated this when booking. Sadly, we were glad to get home.

Spent a weekend there celebrating Mum's 80th birthday with family. Such a quirky cottage. Amazing staff who are very accommodating. Lived up to its name with a resident peacock who regularly comes to visit. Lots of animals come to visit. Mable is adoreable. Thank you for everything you did for us. We will be back !!

Everything was perfect.

Location was great, lovely views. Nice extra to have the hot tub. Good living space. Owner / staff all pleasant and helpful.

Only little thing would be to have some serving bowls in the kitchen.

Despite being given opportunity to respond to and remedy this review, the owners chose to remain silent. The stay at Peacock Cottage, Coity Bach fell far below our reasonable expectations, expectations that increase in proportion the cost of the accommodation and indeed, in this case, may infringe The Consumer Rights Act 2015. The following litany of discovery in our first thirty minutes of the stay, does not attempt to cast aspersions on the owners or imply anything that may impute their character - it’s merely a separation of the professional and the personal and a list of facts. We found and in most cases, took photographs of the following: A meat skewer at the bottom of the stairs. A pair of upturned kitchen scissors in the back of a patio chair. Old food under the beds. A grill pan filled with old oil and food remnants. A sharp screw on the floor. A dirt encrusted tablespoon in the cutlery draw. A mop and bucket with rank water. An uncleaned cooker hob. A grease spattered splashback behind cooker. Grubby bed covers and pillows, one cover with a stain assumed to be blood. Torn and shredded bed covers. A welcome mat encrusted in dog hair. A stressed curtain pole not secured to the wall. Had we not been with our grandchildren and their parents, we would have left the property immediately – something two of our friends did with another Booking.Com rental on the same site. As a result of what we found, the food we brought remained uncooked and ironically frozen in the refrigerator, everybody slept in spare clothing and touched as few of the facilities as possible. Furthermore, the vicinity of the cottage and approach to it was unkempt, along with the unmistakably putrid smell of a rotting carcass in the close vicinity. Having read this review, please feel free to compare it to the experience of others and factor it into your deliberations about booking this cottage.

Stunning location, beautiful views, peaceful, easy to walk to local village with good pubs. Friendly animals our children loved. Hot tub really special looking out across the mountains. 3 good sized bedrooms. Dishwasher, cafetière, air fryer. More attractive inside than the photos!

Could have had more storage cupboards for food.

The location of this cottage and the views were absolutely beautiful, we had great weather so sitting outside in the hot tub and around the garden fire was just perfect. We had an amazing time. Hosts could not have been any better, lovely, friendly, helpful, happy to advise on the local area, nothing was too much trouble.

The property is a little dated and needs some tlc and updates but even so it was perfectly clean with everything you could need and more.

The views were tremendous, and the facilities inc. hot tub and fire pit were great for our group of walkers.
