Peacock Cottage, Coity Bach

The location is perfect! The house is “quirky” as described with a large social area with plenty of room for everyone to sit comfortably. Outside is lovely - would definitely recommend buying some wood for the log burner. The beds were comfy too and bedrooms were lovely. Plenty of room for 5 adults. The bathroom was fantastic - no loo roll was there on arrival so best to take some with you just in case. There was not enough towels for all of us - also recommend that you take your own if you are using the hot tub. Kitchen is basic but practical! Soooooooo many animals will arrive at your door & gate so be prepared for lots of extra company. We wanted to get away from it all and enjoy some much needed time & we got that. Check the door key works as we had trouble locking the cottage up from the outside when we went out. Parking was plentiful and safe Ceri has been really lovely with all our queries prior to the booking.

Location was stunning, hosts communicated well and very happy to bring round freshly cooked pork pies, eggs and bacon

The property was absolutely beautiful, I will most definitely be staying here again. Very friendly hosts and amazing views. The pictures posted really do not do this property justice. Absolutely beautiful place.

The only thing I can fault is that at night when in the hot tub it’s not very private. Maybe a privacy screen or something could help this? But that is honestly the only thing about this property.

My stay has been nice, great view, but I would say that they have to focus more on detail and cleaning the hot tub didn't work properly.

Location and views were beautiful

Arrived at 3pm (check in time) to see cottage still being cleaned. We've had issues with heating the whole stay, heating is not able to be controlled by those who are staying. Heating went off the first night at 10pm, no heating throughout the night, children on 3rd floor had no radiators and had to come and sleep with parents. Heating didn't come on again still 8am, it was -3oC and as its a stone built cottage, doesn't retain any heat, so constant heating is needed. We spoke to owner via text and were assured heating should be on constantly. This wasn't the case as we spoke to a man working their and it was set for 4hrs twice a day. I asked on the Second day for it to be on constantly, which was agreed. However on the next night at 8pm, the heating went off again. Speaking to him he'd only set it on for 12hrs. I told him we hadn't slept the previous night and he assured us it would be on from then on, it was. This was our last night as we're were leaving the next morning. This completely ruined our stay, always worried if it wan going to be cold.. Cottage is in need of some tlc, light fitting hanging off the wall, curtain pole broken, electrics to hottub not working constantly and needed to be held while operating the controls. Wouldn't recommend and definitely won't be returning.
